  5. Smarter, Simpler Neuromuscular Monitoring

Next‑Generation TetraGraph®

The Uppsala‑based medtech company Senzime has now launched the Next‑Generation TetraGraph, a quantitative Train‑of‑Four (TOF) monitor that delivers real‑time EMG‑based data and makes advanced neuromuscular monitoring both smart and simple. TIMIK is proud to be the Nordic distributor for this product.

The new TetraGraph system is built on billions of data points and powered by TetraGraph Adaptive Intelligence™, offering unmatched accuracy, seamless workflows, and a redesigned user interface featuring the industry’s first Level‑of‑Block Gauge™. This allows clinicians to interpret neuromuscular blockade status more easily and comply with current clinical guidelines.

Its 6th‑generation EMG algorithm provides 4× higher resolution, delivering precise monitoring—even in deep block, robotic surgery, or tucked‑arm cases. The slim, portable design and multiple mounting options support modern OR environments, while the EMGINE™ software suite enables advanced analytics and real‑time decision support.

  • Real‑time EMG‑based TOF monitoring with next‑gen accuracy.
  •  Adaptive Intelligence™ + Level‑of‑Block Gauge™ simplifies decisions.
  • New pediatric guidelines recommend EMG‑based monitoring.

Updated Pediatric Guidelines

Recently, new ESAIC/ESPA pediatric guidelines (2025) were published, recommending that quantitative neuromuscular monitoring be used whenever neuromuscular blocking agents (NMBAs) are administered to children, and that EMG‑based monitoring should be used rather than acceleromyography.

These guidelines highlight the importance of accurate dosing, safe timing for extubation, and preventing residual neuromuscular block—areas where EMG‑based systems like TetraGraph demonstrate clear advantages for pediatric patients. Read more >>>
