Microcuff®

Microcuff® endotracheal tube features an ultra-thin cuff and is made without DEHP, enhancing airway sealing, reducing aspiration/VAP risk, and improving ventilation efficiency and patient safety.

  • Advanced microthin polyurethane cuff material enables “self-sealing,” reducing the risk of leakage.
  • Enhanced design may help reduce micro-aspiration of secretions and lower the risk of ventilator-associated complications during prolonged use.
  • Designed for improved conformity to tracheal anatomy, ensuring an effective seal at low cuff pressure.
  • Thin cuff material improves visualization of vocal cords when deflated, while offering high durability with strong puncture resistance and burst pressure.

Microcuff® Endotracheal Tube – Advanced Protection for Safer Ventilation

Microcuff® endotracheal tube is designed to enhance patient safety and reduce the risk of infection during intubation and prolonged ventilation. Equipped with a premium micro-thin polyurethane cuff, it delivers an effective seal at low cuff pressure while adapting precisely to the tracheal contour.

The advanced cuff material enables a unique “self-sealing” function that minimizes channel leaks, helping to reduce micro-aspiration of potentially infectious secretions and lowering the risk of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). Compared to conventional cuffs, Microcuff® offers nearly double the puncture strength and burst pressure, ensuring high durability and reliability in clinical use.

The thin cuff also improves visualization of the vocal cords when deflated, supporting accurate placement. A sealed airway enables efficient positive pressure ventilation, reliable monitoring of end-tidal CO, and optimized oxygen delivery.

Designed with patient needs in mind, the Microcuff® range includes true pediatric sizes tailored to pediatric anatomy—not downsized adult tubes—helping reduce trauma, re-intubation rates, and associated costs. The cuff-based sealing system adapts to varying airway sizes and shapes, eliminating the need for oversized tubes while allowing low-flow anesthesia.

Key benefits include:

Effective low-pressure sealing that reduces infection risk and micro-aspiration.
Advanced polyurethane cuff with self-sealing properties for enhanced safety.
Superior strength and durability compared to conventional cuffs.
Anatomically optimized design for both adult and pediatric patients.
Improved ventilation efficiency and reliable respiratory monitoring.

Microcuff® Pediatric Oral Nasal

  • Hollow cylindrical tube designed for oral or nasal insertion to maintain an unobstructed airway during anesthesia, resuscitation, or inadequate ventilation
  • Radio-opaque construction with anatomically based depth marking supports accurate placement and verification
  • Short, cylindrical cuff near the distal tip enables effective tracheal sealing
  • Four precision bands provide clear visual guidance for correct tube positioning
  • Single-use, disposable device intended to facilitate positive pressure ventilation and maintain upper airway patency

Microcuff® Pediatric Oral Curved

  • Preformed “south-facing” bend directs the tube toward the patient’s chest for optimal anatomical positioning
  • Radio-opaque construction allows clear visualization and placement confirmation
  • Short cylindrical cuff near the distal tip ensures effective tracheal sealing
  • Anatomically based depth marking supports accurate intubation
  • Designed for nasal or oral insertion to facilitate positive pressure ventilation and maintain airway patency

Microcuff® Adult

  • Revolutionary cuff material designed to reduce micro-aspiration
  • The better the seal, the less micro-aspiration, the lower the risk of VAP
  • The Microcuff® tube has advanced microthin polyurethane cuff material that allows the channels to “self seal,” reducing the possibility of leakage
  • Designed for better contact with tracheal contour
  • Polyurethane (10 microns) cuff membranes are substantially thinner than conventional PVC cuffs (50 – 80 microns)
  • Puncture strength of Microcuff tube is almost double compared to conventional cuffs
  • Burst pressure of Microcuff tube is more than double compared to conventional cuffs
