Urimetrix™

The Urimetrix^™ is a urine collection system designed to enable precise monitoring and management of urine output in critically ill patients and following major surgical procedures. It is intended for visual measurement of drained urine to assess hourly urine output, providing valuable insights into a patient’s condition. The system also allows for the collection of sterile urine specimens for diagnostic purposes via a needle-free sampling port. The patient is connected to the Urimetrix^™ through a connecting tube with an anti-kink device, which attaches to a Foley catheter.

The Urimetrix^™ features a rigid upper container with a 500 ml measuring scale, offering high-resolution readings:

• 0 - 30 ml ±1 ml
• 30 - 110 ml ±5 ml
• 110 - 140 ml ±10 ml
• 140 - 200 ml ±20 ml
• 200 - 500 ml ±25 ml

It includes a 2000 ml exchange bag equipped with an anti-reflux valve to prevent leakage when detached from the upper container for emptying or replacement. The exchange bag also features a bottom tap for convenient drainage.
An integrated overflow system automatically diverts any excess volume beyond the container’s capacity, while a non-return valve prevents urine from flowing back to the patient. A hydrophobic air vent filter enables rapid emptying from the container to the drainage bag in under 20 seconds, while also preventing bacterial contamination.

The Urimetrix^™ system includes straps and a rigid hook for secure attachment to any bed frame, ensuring stability during use. All Urimetrix^™ products have a five-year shelf life.
