Air-Q®3 is a Supraglottic Airway (SGA) that enables fast, safe airway access with epiglottis lift and ETT guidance for easy intubation.
The Air-Q®3 family from AirLife offers a complete range of supraglottic airway (SGA) devices designed to provide safe, effective airway management for patients of all sizes—from neonates under 2 kg to adults over 80 kg. These intubating laryngeal airways (ILAs) are engineered to simplify airway access and facilitate endotracheal intubation, featuring an anatomically curved silicone airway tube, integrated bite block, epiglottis elevator, and a built-in ETT guide ramp for smooth tube placement.
The product line includes four distinct models to meet a variety of clinical needs. The standard Air-Q®3 features a removable connector and manual cuff inflation, making it suitable for both routine and emergency airway management. The Air-Q®SP3 offers a self-pressurizing cuff that inflates automatically with positive pressure ventilation, eliminating the need for manual inflation and streamlining the intubation process.
For cases requiring gastric access, the Air-Q®3G adds dual gastric channels and an extra-wide inlet that accommodates nasogastric tubes up to 18 Fr, allowing for simultaneous airway control and gastric decompression. The Air-Q®SP3G combines the benefits of a self-pressurizing cuff with full gastric access, making it ideal for complex airway scenarios.
All Air-Q®3 devices are available in eight sizes covering the patient population from <2kg to over 80kg, each color-coded for quick identification and tailored to fit the full spectrum of patient anatomies. This ensures optimal performance and compatibility with appropriately sized endotracheal tubes, supporting safe and efficient airway management across all age groups and clinical settings.
