Lactate Scout Sport is a compact, user‑friendly lactate analyzer developed for sports performance testing in the field, gym, or laboratory. It allows coaches and athletes to quickly measure lactate levels to evaluate endurance, prevent overtraining, and guide training intensity. The device uses enzymatic testing requiring just 0.2 μl of blood and delivers results in 10 seconds. It features Bluetooth® connectivity for heart rate monitors, a stopwatch function, an integrated step‑test mode, and storage for up to 500 measurements. Its e‑paper display ensures excellent readability under varying light conditions, making it ideal for real-world athletic environments.

Steps for using a blood test meter: insert strip, apply blood to finger, read result on display.

Easy Lactate Measurement – in Three Steps

  • One test strip
  • Collect a small capillary blood sample (0.2 μl). Apply sample to the test strip
  •  Inserted into the device. Read the lactate result in 10 seconds on the display.

Why Lactate (Lactic Acid) Testing Matters

Lactate is produced whenever the body breaks down carbohydrates for energy, and a small amount is always present in the blood—even at rest. This level stays stable at low‑intensity activity as long as the muscles receive enough oxygen.

When exercise intensity increases, the muscles’ energy demand rises. At a point where aerobic energy production can’t keep up, the body shifts toward anaerobic metabolism, causing lactate to accumulate rapidly. Because lactate is released into the bloodstream, it’s easy to measure with a small blood sample. The lactate level reveals whether the body is working aerobically or anaerobically.

Why test lactate?

Lactate testing provides a precise, objective indicator of how hard the body is working, making it a powerful tool for monitoring and controlling training intensity. It helps determine when the body shifts from aerobic to anaerobic work, ensuring training is performed at the right effort—neither too easy nor too hard.
